What is a "Belly Blessing?"

Belly dancing is an ancient art form, and although theories differ regarding the exact origins of the dance, many believe it was originally taught to women in the Middle East in preparation for childbirth.

A "Belly Blessing Ceremony" is a natural and spiritual celebration (not Pagan in any way!) of the expectant mother and her unborn child. It's a special way to honor her journey into motherhood surrounded by loving friends and family and is a unique and fun alternative to traditional baby showers.

Palmetto Oasis coordinates this custom ceremony, providing the expectant mother with a loving ceremony that allows her friends, and family to share their prayers, best wishes, and gifts.

This ceremony is performed by 2-3 Palmetto Oasis Middle Eastern Dancers in full costume in your choice of location.
